Kind of stupid there was no epilogue or something. Started out great, dragged a bit in the middle, then kind of just ended. Ending was definitely better than the middle. This is one of those events where the main was better than the side books. Usually the side books are much better. I couldn't even be bothered with most of them.

I feel like they ending would have been solid if they trimmed some of the filler. Eddie and Cletus pretty much just fly around, crash back where they started, and then Cletus lets himself get killed. It doesn't even feel like a Pyrrhic victory.

This was an event that happened, got an Andi book out of it so not a total wash and maybe that survives long enough to bring Flash back from the dead.

I honestly just wish all the Knull stuff would be replaced with any other ancient evil from the history of Marvel and the different types of Symbiotes Knull made as weapons was more clear so we didn't get shit like Malekith turning Venom into a god slaying sword because from what I understood 99.999% of Symbiotes (including the earth symbiotes) were basically just a big swarm weapon he had all acting in unison while his larger avatars like Grendel were his proper forces and the super symbiotes he crafted permanenly into set shapes in a celestial forge (like the necrosword) was the stuff meant to harm his enemies.

He could've had it both ways, make Knull some Hyborean Chthonic Worshipper and powerful warlock (He looks human enough) that will come back from the dead if Carnage manages a New York sized human sacrifice and is putting everything in motion by having Carange's actions in the mini pull his mind from whatever hell he was in and he occupies the mind of the ancient symbiote dragon Grendel so every major plot point Cates created stays intact and he still gets his OC that's controlling all the symbiotes (except as an ancient warlock thoughtform that Carnage let in to infect symbiote minds).

For an event called Absolute Carnage, the Carnage symbiote itself didn't ever appear. Roxxon took it from Norman after the events of Go Down Swinging.
