>>111344740>actually use her goddamn cast, villains, and mythos, and quit trying to make XenaI mean. It's not a bad place to start?
You ask anyone about Superman, they'll think Lois Lane and Lex Luthor, and not necessarily in that order. Fair number of people will then think Darkseid, Supergirl and Krypto. You ask anyone about Batman, they'll think about Joker, Alfred and so on. On the general nerdery side of things, you'll find people citing Final Crisis: Superman Beyond and The Return of Bruce Wayne all day long, but never the time Kronos harvested the life force of entire pantheons in his scythe only to break it on Wonder Woman's bracelets. That's because that happened a longass time ago during the Perez run and since then she hasn't had nearly as much of a standout moment as the other two members of the Trinity. Hell, the two closest examples I can think of involve fighting Darkseid and Grail, and the runner up is her rescuing Bruce and Clark near the end of Dark Nights Metal. You know, the series about how Batman Always Wins(TM)
There's a reason Batman and Superman work that has nothing to do with gender roles: Writers and fans are familiar with the general archetypes in stories revolving around them. As a character, Wonder Woman's fatal flaw is a lack of exposure and inspired vision.
