If there had been a week of waiting before each episode, I'm absolutely certain that people would've picked apart all the details, spotted the clues, discussed them on the internet, and posted theories/speculations that would later have turned out to be accurate. I think the first thread already had at least one anon who figured out early on what was up with
Sam vs. BADGUYS.
Also, another thing that helped was that it was an animated adaptation of a Seuss poem. I assumed it would just be a normal and average cartoon, and I wasn't even expecting any kind of shocking plot twists from it.
I noticed early on there were some strange things going on with
Sam's characterization, but I figured it must've been just minor plotholes and shoddy writing. I didn't even consider the possibility that it was all deliberate and foreshadowing something. Some other series like Korra S1, Samurai Jack S5, and GoT S8 had taught me that if the halfway part of the story has elements that feel a bit off, it's foolish to assume that it's setting up something that's gonna really pay off later. Most likely, it's just gonna lead towards a shitty finale.
I'm happy about getting to see the entire season immediately, so I never saw speculation/spoilers before finishing it. But at the same time it's a pity that it's over already, and it's likely that discussion about the series won't last as long or be as thorough as it would've been if there were waiting times between the episodes.
