Why do people like this character so much? She had so much potential in her first episode and could have been a vehicle for valid criticism of the Crystal Gems, but she ended up being an abuser who’s only personality trait is being emo and ~damaged~. Which would be fine if she was played more like a villain or at least morally gray, but she’s presented like a total damsel in distress smol bean who needs protecting, and the fans totally bought it. Is it just because her design is pretty and feminine?
