>>111122922I remember hearing about that, and I really appreciate them doing that. It makes for a much better teaching moment for the audience to show the protagonist processing the trauma and grief a little before moving on. In Bambi they just skip it entirely by doing a year and more timeskip.
Lion King is kinda bad too the way Hakuna Matata comes so close on the heels of Mufasa’s death, but at least you can kinda argue that it’s making a point on purpose.
