>>110943705Yeah but there's being a Clone [Lionel Hutz shaking head.jpg] and then there's being a Clone! [nodding lionel hutz.jpg].
I mean, take the whole Curt Connors thing here:
>>110942419 Let's keep in mind that this is the Jackal doing cloning, not just some asshole in a labcoat.
Okay, not just ANY asshole in a labcoat, this asshole is a guy who was PERSONALLY TRAINED by the High Evolutionary who is practically the god of bio-genetic super-science.
So if you told me that his clones are so good, the souls of their original bodies get confused and end up in the clone bodies, I would sort of grudgingly admit that to be comic-book plausible. Plus, like others have pointed out, that might not even be a consistant thing, Connors might have just managed to luck out and Jackal actually did a pretty good job with his family but not necessarily the others.
Is the island of Krakoa as good as the High Evolutionary when it comes to cloning? Or is this all going to end in people dissolving into goo? Plus, even if the Cloning side of things IS up to scratch, how certain are you that Charles Xavier isn't going to be the weak link here? Keeping in mind that the man has a noted tendency to tinker with peoples brains if he thinks it's for their own good and then act surprised when this bites him in the ass EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Jesus, there's a Namor storyline running RIGHT NOW where all the conflict is entirely Xaviers fault.
He's not even IN that comic! He still found a way to retroactively ruin things for everyone in it!
And finally, just to round things off: Iron Man has also decided to start asking these Clone Vs Real questions as well, because Tony can't for five fucking minutes let people do their own thing without him sticking his oar in.
It's a mess!
