AF had an interesting plot, and to me looks like the creators tried to give fans everything they’d asked for in forums and fanfiction.

We need to see more of them in the sequel”>”Check this out - Aliens really are living among us!”Admittedly many concepts were executed poorly, and there was no excuse for the lazy writing. But overall I feel like they at least tried to make a decent series, and it’s a perfectly acceptable, if entirely unremarkable stab at a sequel.
UA was just a slog though. My son got bored a quarter of the way through, and I only kept going because I’m apparently a masochist and glutton for punishment. There were a small handful of OK ideas that could have been neat if applied properly, but there was no attempt at all to apply anything properly at all.
