>>110756317I don't think I can fit my changes into your format properly. So I'll write out the details the best I can.
>Have Toffee have an actual purposeWhether he lives past the movie or not is trivial in comparison to this. If he had a greater motivation, then he not only would have been "perfect", but there would have potentially been something to trail along the rest of the season in terms of momentum and events.
>Fuck all the forced shipping dramaI get that it's a show about teenagers trying to explore their relationships. But let's be honest, if you had to choose between seasons 1 and 2 C&P, vs. forced shipping drama that always felt like it never even wanted to exist in the first place, I think it's extremely clear that being cliche bullshit was way more fun and enriching instead of just being a soulless time waster.
>Change the entirety of Mewni/Monster relationship and historyWhen they were exploring that aspect, it felt like a liberal's wet fantasy regurgitating shallow knowledge on history. Not to dive into any complex discussion on racism being right (it's not) but settings with political and historical backdrops have the potential to be so much more morally gray and compelling. If they were going to make it as cut-and-dry as they did then the very least they could've done was at least add some roadbumps that make the journey exciting to pace along with, rather than heading a predictably lifeless direction.
That could easily have been used to gradually but surely dredge up some momentum as the series went on.
The rest of the fixes are obvious. Do something with Monster Arm, cut out Pony Head and Kelly entirely, etc.
