>>110759018Well, I did that a loooooong time ago, so I can't remember everything. They were notes and crude sketches in notebooks. Basically, I noticed the similarities between the two, and seeing as Tony's Rogues haven't had the success of Batman's (or Spider-Man's or heck, even Cap's) I decided to try and rework them a bit, by using Batman's Villains as a basis. That extended to most of his supporting cast, really. I operated on the rules of an AU, so that I could change things.
Basically, Tony Stark's your Batman. Then, you have Alfred, the loyal Butler. So, in other words, Jarvis. How do you make him different? You go the Ultimate Route, where he's the Posh British Butler for the American Nouveau Riche. Comissioner Gordon is the Lawman that helps Batman. Stark doesn't operate that way, so you can add General Ross as his "connection" (Government/Military). Get it? So, I moved onto the villains; the juicy part.
I started off with Hush. The jealous childhood friend. That was easy; Tiberius Stone. They were basically the same, so I just went overboard with Ty's Transhumanism and turned him into something like Cyborg Fury from MUA2. Catwoman was again easy; Black Widow. Anarky? Bam, Firebrand. Ra's? A reworked Count Nefaria and for Talia, it was Madame Masque. Maxie Zeus? Doctor Midas. Man-Bat? Living Laser. Penguin? The Controller. I'm running out of characters, but you get the picture.
For Joker, I settled on a repurposed Mandarin. I reworked the relationship as a Moriarty/Holmes one, and turned him into this (mostly) anonymous global criminal mastermind with a legion of lesser villains working under him, but his goal was merely constant chaos, wars and whatever other mayhem he could get up to. A constant game. I figured it'd make sense to up the ante in the rivalry, considering Stark's adventures aren't as restrained as Wayne's, so you needed a villain with a bigger scope to act as his "Joker". I also played with the idea of Spymaster occupying that role.
