I feel like Bendis isn't an especially terrible writer because practically anyone they employ would probably write the same level of shit story he is about to write.
It is just that you know the chance of it being a terrible story is 100% because it is Bendis.
One can talk about what Legion is supposed to be, but it just seems like an argument with no set virtue.
You either try and make something that looks dated and backwards by today's standards or something modern but really gay.
When you're working with character who exist in the future it would be understandable to use a modern-day idealized liberal faggy teenage model and then stretch a bunch of highly dated characters over that model.
It would be understandable to do something stupid like have them interact with future-social media to make them appear more relatable and contemporary the way those ass-clowns who made that really bad n52 teen titans did.
Like an early paleontologist interpretation of what teenagers think and act like, it only helps underline how out-of-touch the writer is with youth culture.
Just as with many idiots in the comicbook industry who tried to ape young-adult deathgame novel bullshit in the most overt way possible, it is likely Bendis will attempt just such a creatively defunct idea with just as much competency as those who have tried before.
