>>110739862Hey, I said I probably like LTS Lola best, man. Not that she's ugly, but I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't rank her as #1 sexiest. I'm just being real when I say I like Comics Lola's design (which is also more or less the Space Jam/generic Lola design); it's a nice design.
SJ Lola at least seems like a somewhat normal person, and yeah, I know, that's the opposite of what should be done with Looney Tunes etc. etc. I actually agree, but since she has only a handful of lines it does keep her pretty likable for that limited time she has. Like as long as someone's not being like HURRR GIRLS CAN'T DO SPORTS she seems pleasant.
Whereas in the comics Lola just shows up on the scene being a bitch to everyone from beginning to end and I just cannot get into that. Compared to other existing LT characters she just hasn't had the screentime/presence to make me see that as likable/endearing/part of her character, especially when I don't get the vibe from Space Jam (which I can only assume the comics version is loosely based off) that she's always super jaded/tired of your shit or that she more or less just follows Bugs' routine. Sometimes it even vaguely feels like she's given some Brooklyn-ish dialect and that's like, come on.
I get every character has to start somewhere and it's kinda impressive they even tried to do something different with her at all, but it just really doesn't appeal to me. I don't at all have a problem with a character being """mean-spirited""" or bitchy, especially concerning fucking Looney Tunes, but at the same time when a relatively new character pretty much starts off on that baseline in more or less all of their appearances in one medium it can be hard to really like or give a fuck about them.
Guess that's about it. I'm really not saying she's awful shit cancer or anything; just what they do with her there doesn't work for me and actively turns me against her more than any other depiction of this character I've seen.
