I think it's just a case of who had the opportunities and who didn't, for example: who would get into the tech industry? Low income kids or middle and upper income kids? The later of course. Higher income youth tend to be more left leaning politically, and if they all get together to form a company, there's no one to oppose their political ideas, it becomes a bubble, and they get more entrenched in their beliefs. I think these sort of coincidences and a sort of hero complex that seems to plague youth is the big cause of all this turmoil, or perhaps I'm just not ready to put on the tin foil hat yet.
