Globgor was the Prince of Darkness until he won the election against Seth of Septarsis, becoming the Monster King most popular of all time. That's the reason Eclipsa's wed title is Queen of Darkness.
Years later, Queen Crescenda stated that getting rid of Globgor was a fucking retarded move as having a such popular monster leader on their side could end the war in an instant. So she manipulated the next monster elections so her puppet Lady Avarius could win... that put an end to the conflict but made Seth mad, leading to the events with Toffee (the next prince of Septarsis)
That's the reason Moon respects the Avarius family but not the other monsters.
