I can see how too many cooks would ruin the big character's movies, and why no one would care enough about the obscure ones to meddle in them, letting the creators take risks unimpeded. There's also the recent example of Joker, where from what I heard the director was allowed greater freedom than usual, and it turned out great.

Batman v Superman is good.
Flash had a good tv series(even if the newer seasons got a bit bad).
The Wolverine was great but not a full X-men movie.
Logan was pretty good.
I liked Days of Future past. Thought it was good.
Agree with the Spidey movies being absolute trash though.
Venom was okay but not really a good Venom movie...

The three of them were definitely C-list, Doctor Strange in particular was an important character that was only followed by real nerds, and Thanos, for all his fame as a villain, was mostly relegated to the cosmic side, which WAS heavily neglected for many years in the comics.

I didn't think Homecoming was terrible. I think Dark Knight Rises is good despite its obvious flaws. Days of Future Past and Logan are easily the highlights of the X-men franchise.

Aquaman was a mess and frankly, I didn't think Antman was anything more than mediocre. I'd say Antman & the Wasp was outright bad.
