That video is quite literally him at his weakest. In 5 he splits himself in two and his demon half raises the Qliphoth onto earth and uses it to harvest humans into a fruit that grants one the power to become the king of hell, which he then proceeds to eat and still get his ass whooped by Dante. Also bear in mind that Dante had killed the old king of hell maybe about 10-15 years prior to all of that happening.

they're a little weaker than guys like Ghost Rider (at his most powerful), but they'd hold their own, especially considering Virgil is a good guy now and wouldn't have to butt heads with any extremely powerful heroes like The Spectre, or Sentry, or Dr. Fate. They're on par with Death's Head II so they would definitely be considered more powerful in the Marvel universe. Dante and Virgil certainly aren't capable of destroying the entire planet, even together, and if they tried in either Marvel or DC they would get stomped pretty quick.

They basically shine in actual people fights. They may not be able to blow up big shit with ease but you'd never be able to take them down with anything big, and there isn't a hero or villain who could beat them in a 1v1.

Superman, Hulk, Sentry, Silver Surfer, Lobo, X-Man, Iron Fist, Firestorm, Spawn, and Max Faraday could all beat them 1v1 or even take them both at the same time pretty easily.

Superman and Sentry would be a tie. Hulk probably would as well just because of his sheer regeneration. Silver Surfer and Lobo less so, though I don't read much of DC or cosmic marvel stuff, to be fair. X-Man and Max Faraday sound like people who basically shouldn't even be fighting at the level most other people do. It'd be like comparing Zen-Oh from DBS to Goku or something, if you'll forgive anime shittery. Though they still have absolutely ludicrous toolkits; Dante himself can stop time though for balancing reasons in game it's only perceived as slowed time. It's still stopped in cutscenes and such.

And they haven't even talked about Dead Weight yet.

I think you're wrong in assuming that Dante or Virgil hold a candle to the likes of Superman, Sentry or Hulk. If you REALLY wanted to push it, then yes, they could take on guys like Silver Surfer and Lobo (which I think Ghost Rider would be able to do), but they would still lose to Surfer's stronger abilities and Lobo's near invincibility and stamina.
Nero at the end of DMC5 might be able to challenge a character as strong as Spawn, but I doubt he's Superman or Hulk level. Still, none of them could ever face down high-end magic users like Dr. Fate or divinely empowered characters like The Spectre

I absolutely think they could stand up to Hulk. Royal Guard would let them go toe to toe with him if he ever actually landed any hits. People like Superman or Sentry who have way bigger tool kits than hitting really hard are people who would give them a run for their money.

okay I think you have a point that they would be able to defend themselves against the Hulk, but Hulk gains power with rage, and he would definitely get pissed if Dante kept using Royal Guard on him lol. It would reach a point that Hulk would throw a tectonic plate-breaking punch that royal guard might not be able to take.

I don't think being able to blow something up is necessarily the same as being able to beat someone

let's say a high level telepath fights someone who can blow up the earth with a punch
the guy who punches attempts to punch, but the telepath brainwashes them
telepath can't blow up a planet, but he can beat someone who can

But, most of the final bosses Dante fights are absolutely Country level if not planetary

I feel like people also discredit the Sons of Sparda's freakishly inhuman and downright ridiculous stamina and healing factor. Dante gets a sword through his chest nearly every game and shrugs it off like it's nothing.

Dante does have an incredible healing factor but could he regenerate after being mostly destroyed? He's taken a bullet to the head, but could he survive if his brain was liquefied (ex. by a telekinetic/psychic)? He can certainly take punishment and has very high stamina but I doubt he is something near to invincible or inexhaustible
