>>110383799It's easy to see why DC started pushing them together
>Easy progressive brownie points>Hot lesbian fan art>A desire to expand more focus on their female cast>Villains are popularEtc, Etc. Personally I'm in the boat that says it's fine with Harley and Ivy being friends, but I don't buy their "romance" which is mostly fabricated by an autistic and blinded fanbase. And the biggest tragedy is that it stagnates both characters, especially Poison Ivy. There's no real character growth here, just "We're gay now!" like it adds anything. Which this also leads into the horrible shipping problem all fandoms face when two friends start hanging out. It's a fun friendship, but I wouldn't want it beyond that. Yeah they bond over their issues with men, but I don't like the idea of Harley being completely over the focus of her madness nor Ivy completely abandoning her eco-terrorist activities to "save" the planet just because she's friends with Harley.
Am I making any sense here?
