Because they already have more value in the first place, a given increase in their value is less important, so they should care less than men.
If they are louder it's because they can still get an easy/more likely, if smaller, payoff.
On the other hand, men's approach is supply side.
Men are the ones making the shows for the most part, so they will make shows that are marketable but not against their own taste. Sugar was cartoon network's first female showrunner in 2013. It might be years until women have someone with the desire and ability to market the idea to make a western husbando show.
That is, women have the power to say no to things (demand side) but they don't seem to have the management positions to say yes (supply side).
