I'm guessing it'll probably be an archive of all the old content, the same way how some other newspaper strips publish their old gags online. A relaunch would be exciting, but Larson is close to 70 years old and I don't really expect him to start drawing again.
If it turns out to be just an archive of old content instead of a relaunch of new content, I'll be satisfied enough with that. I always thought it was a real shame how Larson only wanted to see his comics in newspapers and book compilations, but not on the internet. He never published the series on his own website, or
gocomics.com, or anywhere else, and he also somewhat infamously requested his fans not to share Far Side comics on any websites. So if he's finally reaching the digital age, that sounds good enough to me.
New merchandise might be cool as well, especially if they create a webstore that will sell to international customers too. Their old version of the official website used to be very bare-bones and mostly just informed fans to look for the books at their local bookstore.
