But the issue here is that you listed two services that can get away with airing shit that most people can't/won't bitch about.
Netflix is a streaming service that is largely unshackled by American censorship and its belief system.
They're still influenced, mind you, but hardly. They can get away with a lot of shit.
HBO had that bonus too because there was a surge of shit they got away with because it was a subscription service, and people who were getting HBO -knew- they were getting this kind of shit, and no one bitched about it.
However, it's all turning moot as the common view on such things is changing. You brought up Netflix and, even with the reason I just stated, there's a bigger reason why they get away with shit like that.
It's because no one cares too much anymore.
Hell, look at what shows used to [CENSOR] out with the beeps or the black bars only a few years ago. Quite a bit. Now shows on public air are getting away with a lot more and censoring less and less.
I think the only words censored nowadays is like... Fuck, Cunt, and Cock.
Used to be you couldn't say a ton more like dick, shit, asshole/ass, tits, slut, piss, and pussy. Now they're all over, especially on shows like American Dad/Family Guy.
