>To the delight of his legion of fans, Axel Braun today revealed the cover for his latest Wicked Comix title, Captain Marvel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody.
>The stunning cover art, while obviously influenced by the beloved superhero’s mainstream iteration, provides insight into the painstaking attention to detail lavished upon the costume of titular star Kenzie Taylor. Ramping up his tradition of creating elaborate outfits that outstrip their Hollywood counterparts, Braun says he has crafted the most elaborate superhero of his career. The suit depicts a statuesque and shapely Captain Marvel wholly authentic to the classic Marvel Comics—and thus completely different from the one portrayed by Brie Larson in the mainstream film.
>"I couldn’t have asked for a better Captain Marvel than Kenzie," enthused the director, who's won AVN's Best Parody award a record nine consecutive times. "I wanted to give audiences a Carol Danvers who is tough, bold, and sassy ... basically an empowered woman with a healthy sexual appetite, a key character element from the comics, largely ignored in the Marvel movie. Kenzie was able to embody all of that, and then some. She studied, researched, and trained for months in order to prepare for this role, and when the cameras started rolling she just WAS a superhero. She was meticulously prepared, passionate, and not only she endured two weeks of grueling 20-hour days on set in scorching heat wearing skin-tight costumes and running around in 10-inch heels, but she often stayed behind to help the crew clean up and load the trucks.
>It definitely appears that Braun has gone all out for his 60th parody, with a stellar supporting cast comprised of Ana Foxxx, Lacy Lennon, Aubrey Kate, Quinton James, Ramon Nomar, Tyler Knight, Alex Legend, James Bartholet, as well as Braun protégé Seth Gamble, the AVN reigning Best Actor, in a yet undisclosed role.
