>>109688415Again, those are paltry numbers compared to indie creators that are actually signed to a publisher. At least half if not more of that money has to go towards printing and shipping (and the first step is already painful as it is), so it's not as glamorous as it looks.
And I'm not saying that you have to stick corporate cock in order to get ahead, it would be highly hypocritical of me, who's opposed to the notion. I'm saying that there isn't much money to be had from this hobby, even if CG wants to paint the false idea that they're all reviving Image days. They certainly aren't, not with the poor output they have; I hate the guy but Liefeld was pulling a lot of stuff back in the day and then this allowed him to chill and sell properties like crazy, while EVS has been coasting off a single comic book by releasing multiple campaigns. I guess that's the trick though, but it's not sustainable.
>>109688426You mean the blacklisting part? Malin himself burnt those bridges, and he wasn't the only one: I'm sure some of us here remember the Indonesian guy who inserted anti-Christian and anti-Jewish propaganda in X-Men, and you could easily say that was "simply exposing an opinion" too.
