>>109580813You do realize that you are calling for realism in a comic about a god being dying from super cancer, right?
I used to live in a city where one of the most visible ways of suicide was to jump the big city bridge. These people could have slit their wrists or overdosed on pills but something in their minds told them to stop traffic for a few hours, appear on the evening news, and jump off the biggest bridge in the city. It was a very dramatic way to go and almost certainly was a call for help.
I don’t know why Regan chose to go to the top of a building. But seeing how they were seeking help because they tried reaching their doctor, maybe they needed a big dramatic scene to get the help they needed.
I think it works.
And I’m not a writer so I don’t know what constitutes lazy writing. But with suicide on the table, and big, obvious Christ allegories zooming around saving everyone, it’s going be obvious.
