They produce some things. I just think the people they have selecting shows aren't very experienced at scouting talent or good ideas. Their best people are probably working in the live action sector too.

netflix fund all those shows 100% to get them at least partially exclusive to their platform. That's why the system is unsustainable to begin with, studios don't care if they make a hit or a blunder, it's already paid before airing.
