Then he completely lost the plot and gave the story back over to the fans, but the fanbase had completely shifted from channer/somethingawful shitposters to ostentatious teenagers who were obsessed with homos and social justice.
It became a huge, contrived mess and you could tell by the end Hussie was a husk of his former self, a shell of a man. The irreverent and offensive humor completely gave way to paragraphs of homoangst and super srs lectures on abuse.
The fans built the series, Hussie improved on it, then the fans absolutely demolished it.
I loved this comic so much 2009-2015. It disgusts me what it turned into in the end, and it horrifies me that its shambling corpse still wanders aimlessly to this day.
What even happened to Hussie? Is he just existing ironically at this point?
