Audition Forever dragged up one of my unpleasant memories.
I was in a small, intimate video production class of seven students, and we each came up with a short film idea to produce, and then we voted on two of them.
I was proud of my idea. It lost by one vote (I could have voted differently to win the vote). I got very upset and I tried hard not to show it, but it must have been very obvious to the professor I was sulking hard. He said something like, "Are you upset anon?" making everyone look at me, and I said, "No, I'm just thinking," so he scoffed and said, "Yeah, thinking." He wasn't being mean. I think he was just bemused.
I hate that I was forced into a situation where I wasn't candid and honest, because I usually am. Even now, I can't think of another response without seeming outright petty to everyone in that room.
