I would have gone with Roman, Braun or Finn Balor (injury prone my ass). But I would have NEVER made the horrid mistakes wwe made with any of those guys. Each one is so unique and different, you have something for all types of fans if you book each to their strengths instead of over highlighting their weaknesses. Though personally, I think wwe needs to give up on the idea of having a singular top guy and instead do what Heyman did with his Smackdown 6. Have a handfull of top guys and gals who act as your main characters and position them all over the card. That way, if someone isn't into Roman, they can just wait till Finn comes on. Have a little something for everyone. Game of Thrones did this to great effect. NJPW does this so well. Tanahashi is their Ace, but Okada is their golden champ, while Will Osprey is the rising star, and Ibushi is the spectacular can't miss dude. Ufc had a simmilar set up, until they caught a case of wwe stupidity and decided that john cheater jones was the only thing that matters. Hell back then, even wwe knew not to bank on one guy and had Hogan/Macho/Warrior, Rock/ Austin/ Haitch/Foley, Cena/Batista/Orton.

I've not watched that much modern Raw, I dunno that Braun is really a good idea. I haven't seen him as a face and he seems kinda shitty on the mic from what I've seen. As a monster heel, he's pretty good, but you have goddamn Smoa Joe at your disposal. I'm new to wrestling, I know he's been at it for a while so I don't know if he's past his prime but he's still pretty good.

That's true. I kinda forgot about Joe. Switch him out with Braun and have Braun be slowly and organically built up. But you get my general gist. One Guy will not cut it with such a loaded roster. I was just picking names off the top of my head. Zayn, Owens, Styles, Nakamura, Rusev, Ricochet, Cesaro, fucking hell this company is packed to the brim, loaded with people who could be "the guy". And instead wwe does nothing with most of them and makes the ones they do push look like dorky chumps. My bois Fandango and Ryder could be solid midcard mainstays and instead are left at catering. Honestly though, I was really rooting for Braun because he was learning fast and what he lacked in ring skill he made up for in character and intensity. And then right at the peak of his heat, wwe made him stand outside of the Lesnar v Reigns 90th rematch, with his thumb throughly planted up his ass, as a prop to get the fans to actually sit through a Reigns match (instead of just getting up and leaving like they had been doing the past few months) and instead of rewarding the fans patience, or doing good by Braun's chatacter by having him join the match at the start, he gets punked out by Lesnar and made to look like such a geek while Roman wins (lol). Then they immediately turned Braun heel as a sacrifice to keeping Reigns on top, when they Easily, could have had Reigns and Braun as top guys with a few others alongside them (perhaps Rollins, Ambrose, Cesaro). I will never not be salty about wwe killing Brauns overness. Because when Reigns went down with cancer, they had NO ONE to pick up the slack and they are still in that directionless rutt to this day, even with Reigns back and healthy.

I was thinking Sami and Kev but I didn't know if they really had that top star material. Same for Nak. Styles I think could handle his own, Ricochet I love his in ring work but I don't know how good he is at cutting promos and I haven't seen much Cesaro
