>But wouldn't they make a special exception for him?No, the Trump administration instituted a zero-tolerance policy, so every single baby gets locked up, including Clark. Every single one.
>But aren't the concentration camps just for criminals? If you're not requesting asylum then crossing the border is just a misdemeanor, not a felony. They shouldn't be treated like felons.
If you are requesting asylum, then it's NOT a crime at all, even if you don't present yourself at a designated port of entry.
>But aren't their asylum requests illegitimate? You might think so, but due process means that you're supposed to lock them up AFTER their requests are processed/evaluated/rejected, not before.
>But isn't it all somehow Obama's fault or the Dems' fault? The zero-tolerance policy makes it the fault of Trump and the Republicans, because it means that ALL kids get separated from their families, no exceptions, causing the camps to become overcrowded and overburdened.
It's Trump's fault that kids are sleeping on floors, because his policy means they can't fit enough beds inside the facilities.
It's Trump's fault that kids are going weeks without showers, because his policy means that there aren't enough supplies or employees to bathe them.
It's Trump's fault that kids are living in unchanged dirty diapers, because his overcrowding means that there aren't enough toiletries or employees to change them.
>But isn't Trump a good man who's doing this for a good reason? Isn't it just to protect the kids?Kids are getting raped by ICE and CBP.
Kids are separated permanently from their families and lost into trafficking because the administration didn't actually keep documentation on where everyone was going.
Kids aren't allowed to hug each other because their facilities have a fucking NO-HUGGING POLICY.
Conservatives are the baddies.
