I recently learned about dogisaga in one of /co/ threads and I can't help but think that dogisaga(or kyung)'s parents were probably victims of infamous korean cult called unification church. Here are some of evidences on why I came up with this conclusion.
>Main characters use Korean names. friends(relatives?) use Japanese names.Since unification church started in Korea, many of followers are Koreans. For a cult it has some presence in Japan too. Unification Church promotes marriage between people from different nationality and occasionally hosts mass weddings between two countries. In one of comics Kyung's father(or mother I can't remember) claims that they were born Japanese and chose to be Koreans.

>Korean nationalist memesex)

Cults pander to certain groups to get their feet off the ground. For unification church's case, it was the nationalists(Ironic for a cult that says that there are no races). This would explain why Kyung's parents have so many "nationalist" friends.
>Moonie Jangmihttps://www.deviantart.com/dogisaga/art/Moonie-Jangmi-1-778230996For people who don't know, moonie is English pejorative term for followers of unification church.
>possible depictions of MLMI can't find it on dogisaga's devianart page, there used to comic about kyung's parents stashing body products and forcing kyung to use them. While I couldn't find direct link between mlm and unification church, I wouldn't be surprised if cult preachers also run mlm business and force their followers to buy their product.
Maybe I'm overthinking it. But it kinda explains a lot.
