I wasn't really disagreeing with you. Just meant that if someone unconditionally liked the show pre-finale for stupid reasons (ex. omg Eclipsa is literally me), then they probably disliked the finale for equally stupid reasons.
Like, if someone loves Eclipsa, then yeah I can see why they wouldn't like her and her ugly daughter losing their special snowflake status in the finale. But that doesn't mean that was actually bad.
Whereas if someone's been critiquing the show all along and THEN also says the finale was shit, I just kinda feel like they have a more legitimate basis for saying what they have to say. Like they're not just criticizing the ending because it went somewhere they didn't like, but because they seem to have problems with the storytelling of the show as a whole.
But then I'm probably one of the few anons who disliked the general direction of Star Vs. BUT also didn't mind the finale, comparatively, so I find it weird when the finale is all people focus on nowadays, like the problems with the show begin and end there.
