Its namely just the hiatus grind and how everyone is now trying to copy the Netflix formula which isn't good

So far the only series that seems to have an acceptable formula of releasing stuff is Amphibia where there was a new episode every single day 4 days a week for a little under real time compared to how long Anne was in Amphibia for.

The normalization of DVR made scheduling a non-issue. You're the weird person for wanting to watch things as they air.

This sucks because its why I stopped watching Gumball for a year. I didn't know when they made a new season and fell behind. I didn't even know what episode I was on because the numbering is all messed up from the double episodes. I would miss random episodes since they would never air as part of another episode.

CN has been trying to kill itself since 2011 to cut costs and finally join the streaming world fully. Shareholders won’t allow it though so they’ve been slowly sabatoging themselves.

I would use a DVR, but CN never listed new episodes correctly so I would miss a bunch of them. Most episodes just said "The Amazing World of Gumball" as the episode name so my DVR never knew if it was a new one or not.

They are doing a horrible job at the whole streaming thing. The CN app is fucking atrocious and the oldest show on there is Adventure Time. They desperately need talent that isn't from Tumblr, and leadership who is confident that the cable channel and streaming app can coexist.
