I said basic proportionality was preserved and the animation wasn't as stiff. This isn't "WAAAAH OLD IS BETTER MUH OLD CARTOONS WAAAH," I'm saying this is fucking up in ways that even the budget DiC cartoon wasn't. Sonic would go off model constantly, but the basics tended to be down pat.
Sonic's feet are sized according to his hands, which are meant to look normal in proportion to his head, which is fucking huge. Here's art of him from just last year. Notice how his feet aren't scaled like he's a normal human. I'm not even expecting the show to get him on model or even close, I'm just floored that they failed to even get the most basic fucking aspects of proportion right. This is literally deviantart tier.
