Something with no width WILL harm. Obviously the effects are speculative since 2D blades don't exist in real life, but so long as the blade isn't permeable its going to be separating particles and thus creating charge without breaking surface tension. Your atomic and subatomic structure is going to be absolutely fucked, and the effect WORENS the more convoluted your X-dimensional structure is.
