I feel like this is what level of writing that directionless, unimpressive comics like Ms. Marvel, X-23 and The Unstoppable Wasp should be aiming for. None of the romances are contrived, the characters are friends but you have cliques within tight units realistically unlike the catch-all "everyone is my best friend" bit you get from the Big Two. There's conflict, there's easy aesops for general audiences and lots of cute character building moments that show, and even better, sticks with their development. It doesn't beat you over the head or politicize opinions. And the art is cute.
