Muslims being depicted the way Christians are, people with backwards beliefs who are slowly coming around to modern values and as a result have become less horrible and violent, ruins their narrative that Islam is bad and backwards compared to Christianity.
I mean, I can't point you towards any Americanized Muslims calling for the death of millions, meanwhile I can easily point out groups of good old american Christians who would welcome a holocaust on american soil.
