I would unironically love to see a Batman comic or movie that reflected this. Not for an "edgy /pol/tard" reasons, but because it actually gives you an idea of what actual crime is like. Does Batman basically go around beating up black kids in their early 20s? Or semi-homeless drug users? If you give crime an accurate, and ultimately human face, you bring up all kinds of unanswered questions about the issue of Batman. Maybe he doesn't actually focus his efforts on street-level crime so much as syndicates and criminal organizations. "The Mob" as such isn't as relevant now as it was in the 1970's, so it would be interesting to an updated, nuanced treatment of this.
