If people were harsher then the moment they got ripped off intellectually by utterly pathetic small companies and medium companies like Jagex and Hasbro Studios those people would bury them. It's incredibly easy to convince mooks to beat up a person and get away with it and it's just as easy to poison someone or provoke accidents.
But people don't have that natural harsh psychosis, drive, standards and knowledge to have it their way. They don't have that natural duty and responsibility and the competence to do it.
You know those movie cliches where the criminal always kills the witness? I genuinely would trust an introvert to never divulge information and I'd trust a normal person to never go out of their way to inconvenience me because normies are lazy uneducated irresponsible shits.
Now if we lived in a harsh society I wouldn't even consider leaving witnesses alive even if I was paid 2 million dollars per witness. It would just come back to bite me in the ass with 100% certainty. But in a soft society I trust you sheep.
