>>108119236>but after Too Young with the Mathematical controversy and their reluctance to outright squash the ship (look where we are now) makes me reluctant to 100% accept that reasoning.
Then you're dumb.
Reminder that after said controversy they went 2 years without having PB and Marceline interact at all. Literally at all, not one word or mention of each other or anything.
So based on that, you think they sabotaged Finn and PB (which was the main ship of the show for the first 2 seasons while Bubbline interacted one time where they spoke like 5 words at each other) to make Bubbline happen? >and the gears were already set into motion as of Princess Cookie.
Barely and that episode was still an entire season later than Too Young, you know they don't plan things that far in advance.
That makes very little sense. Feel free to believe it if you want to but I don't see why "the show took the easy way out on aging PB up" is such a hard thing to wrap your head around.>>108119257
Early AT was almost entirely purely episodic, the Lich episodes were the exception and not the rule.
And I don't know why you think I'm defending it, I'm simply stating the reasons it happened. Saying "it was done for convenience" is not defending them.
You're pretty naive if you think shows always do what's best for the show and fans and not what's easier, cheaper, or quicker.
