>spoilerI don't think that matters much, your post had some really intense hostility to these fanartists that seem thoroughly unreasonable and disproportionate.
Take the glasses thing. You characterize this as nothing more than fanartists wanting to schlick to cute guys in classes, but that isn't a fair depiction.
Rasticore first appears in Gift of the Card, but he appeared quite a bit earlier in promotional material (the date of which eludes me). Regardless, he precedes the premier of Moon the Undaunted by a little more than half a season.
Rasticore is very physically imposing. Toffee was shown to have a muscular forearm during the events of Storm the Castle, but that's about it. Up until this point, all his actions have been clever underhanded schemes, rather than demonstrations of brute force. Consider that they are the same species, it is not unreasonable to deduce that Toffee may be "wimpy" by his own species' standards.
Furthermore, Toffee was shown to be more technologically competent and educated compared to the other monsters. He dresses in a suit - whereas Beard Deer wears the standard "meth addict in the trailer park" garb and Buff Frog apparently needs to be chastised to rare the pants Ludo gifted him. From these comparisons it is fair to assume that Toffee is educated or "geeky" by the standards of his beers.
Even Marco draws attention to this in Storm the Castle, saying that Toffee is "boring" while the other monsters "came to party" - and this provokes a change in Toffee's expression.
What I'm trying to say is that - given what information these people had - thinking that Toffee was going to be a nebbish, serious, bookish type was not unreasonable. Simplifying that to "hahaha these morons just think smart ppl wear glasses that's DUMB" is a strawman. It was a fair theory.
