I don't really feel Cio's relationship issues are out of line. At some point it was going to escalate and this is that moment.

I feel like someone in this story has to be correct; or at least someone who is reflective of an individual who respects the dangers of the world and just wants to be away from it all if given the choice - and I think it's incredible that a demonic incarnation of selfishness is that thing. Cio is special snowflake bullshit among devils but I'm glad she's along for the ride in that capacity. I guess I'm saying that I like her as a character simply as someone who is trying to be less shit even though her very existence fights against that goal. I guess I'm not bothered by this lesbian romance bullshit because it's not actually badly done and is aided by the fact that Allison is a fucking stupid impulsive human being.
I know we expect White Chain to be the rational actor here but she's clearly pledged to enabling Allison even if reluctantly. It's not like we understand exactly what White Chain wants; it's not like she's getting feedback from the Thorns that what she's doing is being met with approval.
