See this is throwing me off because it makes your second sentence unclear to me.
I'm not saying the similarities are negligible. If anything we may just be approaching our analyses from different scales or perspectives.
What I was effectively trying to say is that the "two cars" have the same chassis. I'd even go so far as the say that the two cars with the same chassis are the same model of the same make. Their bodies however are not the same as in this analogy, one is of one design, and the other is from a redesign released...7 years later.
But that analogy might not be as applicable to you or anon, so lets go with another. Christopher Reeve wore a Superman suit that was comprised of a blue body suit with no collar, red trunks, a red cape, the S on his chest, and a yellow belt. The classic Superman costume.
Brandon Routh also wore a Superman suit that was comprised of a blue body suit with no collar, red trunks, a red cape, the S on his chest, and a yellow belt.
By anon's line of insistence, they wore the same suit. By mine, and countless complaints about Routh's, they did not.
Again, the chassis may be the same, but the details make them different. That is all I am arguing.
