Otherwise it’s just generally the default assumption anons are male, even when their posts have nothing to identify their gender, so it’s easy to assume there aren’t many women around when there actually are.
/co/ is also one of the less misogynist boards, and doesn’t as often have tangents generalizing how all women are trash. That seems to happen a lot more on other boards like /tv/. Though that does still occasionally happen here too.
