>>107917956It isn't really a multiverse made up of evil universe, but rather a space where the universes are born out of the hopes and fears of the people of the proper multiverse. Some universes are bad, some universes are good. The bad ones are supposed to be destroyed. The good ones are supposed to be moved "up" and be part of the proper multiverse.
The idea works, i think. It's just that during the event we only got to see the doomed universes.
