Not really headcanon either, S1-S2 (+BfM) are Nefcy seasons, and S3-S4 are Cotungo seasons.

Season 3 and 4 are not part of the canon show.

Yeah. I'd say Gravity Falls really started the trend of lore-heavy shows. Shows that were running before or concurrently with it for instance like Adventure Time or SvTFOE basically changed overnight to ape GF's success with mixed results.

Was it not screaming or banging pots & pans together every 5 seconds like Star VS. to hold your attention? Your show is 11-minutes of keys dangling (like Adventure Time before it) and holds not actual fucking weight in lore because it's so asinine and clearly there to piggyback off Adventure Time's "fame" (which it didn't deserve either).

Uncle Grandpa is a better show than Star vs the foces of evil, Star vs started with a simlar premise of being a parody of an specific kind of story but quickly forgot what they were supposed to be by pushing a super cereal lore bullshit at season 2 that literally went nowhere and a lot of baddly made teenager drama at season 3 and 4.

it was okay. some villains had great moments, but a lot of the pacing got bogged down by love triangles. final episode didn't have the closure i wanted, but i guess they'll probably do something else with the franchise down the line.

The series switched to from the lighthearted fish out of water scenario to a more lore-focused story, and they couldn't pull it off.
Cotugno gets a lot of the blame because she took over directing from S3, which has a lot of sjw messages.
