People praise S2 but I'm still sad they gave up and turned his character into a meathead brawler defeated with "lmao super duper magic blast".
Writers want these mysterious, enigmatic villains like Toffee or Bill Cipher but then shit the bed when it's actually time to reveal their complex machinations because they are often too stupid to write any.

May as well just go the Xanatos route and always have his defeat be a gain in some other elaborate plan.

Literally the only reason i started watching the show was because of him.
I feel like if you compare a scene with him and another with other characters of the cast, they don't seem to belong in the same series.
