Jack Kirby's Treatment at DC

No.107298022 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Did anyone else think that Jack Kirby matured as a writer when he transferred to DC Comics after he was done with Marvel?

It seemed he knew more on what to do without the help of Stan Lee nosing in, and when considering the lore he built for OMAC, New Gods, and Kamandi (even if at times, the dialogue can be hammy and outdated), he knew what he needed to do and, therefore, had in mind of creating a cohesive story, rather than just a week-by-week comic run that was present in his Marvel runs. Though it could be that DC, in general, tends to have more mature ideas in mind.
