Hatred of men exists and is a problem. Hatred of any group based on things inherent to them is a problem. Openly hating men as a whole is not acceptable in the average workplace, but neither is openly hating women. Both are irrational hatreds and are likely to get you fired. Which is why people keep those views to themselves until they get on the internet. Noelle's position is 'obviously no one really hates men, because they couldn't get by in society if they did, and when they say they hate men online they're just joking'. When in reality, openly hating half the world is unacceptable in public, so people express their hatred online, barely disguised as 'jokes'.
