They failed to protect their nations, despite their "strength". They smothered artists and dissenters and narratives which went against the party line, weakening large swathes of their heritages while also nigh-eternally tainting other portions by association. And opportunity? Opportunity? Their economies were shitshows by any standard. That, and y'know, the exclusion and outright removal of fairly sizable portions of the population because they were ideologically inconvenient.
Also, the bits about religion and beliefs and a sense of community being under siege is a laugh, coming from a Nazi of all people. To say nothing of people being tossed aside like trash. Fucking hilarious to hear that man speak of being unable to speak out.
The dude's pretty clearly drawing some false comparisons and slathering them in America-friendly language to try and garner support from this group of people. Who, based on context clues, I'm assuming just got Eminent Domain'd or foreclosed.
