>>106966104>eah, but it's tainted by association and the entire franchise is derailed now, anything new they make will be based on nu-ra and it's 'innovations'.When a new, future reboot comes out, I guarantee you that it will neither perfectly mimic the current show, nor perfectly mimic the original show. It will be something new, something that reflects the spirit of animated media at that specific point in time, it will have its own interpretations of characters. Sure, it will likely be inspired by nu-ra in part, but it will probably only pick out things that are ultimately judged to be "improvements", and if everybody agrees that a particular change sucks, they will not hesitate to ignore it.
Saying stuff like "it's tainted by association" and "entire franchise is derailed" makes no sense. Franchises such as Transformers or TMNT had had multiple incarnations, some more serious, some more comedic, some taking unusual spins on the characters, and it wouldn't be true to say that any of them permanently changed the course of the entire franchise.
Is all of Transformers tainted by the fact that Energon existed? No. Does every TMNT series feature Venus, the turtle girl? No.
Fans of the IP will always look into the original source material for inspiration, even if they didn't grow up with it.
Don't be such a pessimist. I think that even if a new reboot is bad, it's still better that it exists, because it ultimately improves the chance that another one will eventually be made at all. A series with only one entry, such as she-ra was, could easily be forgotten, and eventually just remembered as "that one thing that he-man did once".
