>>106677066It's the magic of exposure. In the age of content over saturation, doing the right thing at the right moment will make you rich.
There's a number of factors at play that will determine your chances at exposure:
a. Knowing to write
b. Catering to a specific fetish that hasn't been catered to in a while / has an established niche market (gone are the days of vanilla / general quality porn, manara rolls in his soon to be grave)
c. Catering to a specific gameplay niche that hasn't been catered in a while
d. Be first
b and c will get you a number of neetbux too as the nutjobs get hype and go around shouting THAT IS MY FETISSHH. Those four are the living essence of porn money making. Once you are established, you will basically make free money for a while.
Case in Point A: Summertime Saga got popular because it was one of the first somewhat complex, "modern" porn games out there, together with Something Unlimited, Corruption of Champions and a couple more. Writting was nothing but basic comedy and the art wasn't anything special either, 1 out of 4, yet it got big for being a legit effort at the right moment .
Case in point B: SU. On top of being a pioneering game it was made by an established artist with some 10 years experience/network, and on top of that made a lot of (relatively) quality content for a niche/series that doesn't really get much stuff (big two gets a lot of porn of subpar quality), and he has relatively good writing skills. 2 out of 4.
Case in point C: Corruption of Champions. Got a lot of money because it had an innovative, gameplay and the furry fandom didn't get a porn game this large in all their history. While Fenoxo's writing is somewhat good, it wasn't really what net him money. 2.5 out of 4.
