The villain undermines themselves by showing modern technology can pose a bigger threat than supers ever could, even in the hands of normal people.
It was also just much more predictable.
I liked Bob's subplot and I liked how Helen got the leading role this time, but the way they executed it wasn't as compelling to me. Seeing Helen as elastigirl working for the company that was extremely obviously going to be the thing turning on them wasn't as interesting as infiltrating a secret villain volcano based superlair.
The amount of time spent on the fucking baby was really tiresome too.
The movie felt great to me moment to moment, but on a macro level it was just boring.
